23 days...holy eff!!!
Life has been a whirlwind!! But I guess it always has been, and it always will be so i can't really use that as an excuse. Presley is now in JK, which frees up alot of time for me in my days, all of which I have spent at the gym as of late :)
3 weeks to go! This is when i get a love/hate relationship with my prep. I love the results I see, and the changes that my body is making daily, I love the sense of accomplishment I get when I get all of my workouts done and I have time to fit other things into my day, I love the organization that i am forced to have in order to operate and pull off such a huge workload. I love how good i feel after crushing a workout, how strong i feel, how strong i look. I love the all of my hard work is coming to fruition and I will be stepping on that stage soon!! I hate having to explain myself over and over to people as to why i can't just have one drink, as to why i am eating the foods i am eating, why i would eat or drink something if it doesn't taste good , or as to why i am putting myself through such an intense process. I hate emotional rollercoaster that comes hand in hand with the limited amount of carbs around this time. The second guessing of the same you that you were just so pleased with in the mirror. The crying for no reason. LOL.
Does the good outweigh the bad? Hands down. You have to take the bad with the good, and the good is what keeps me coming back to this sport. It's an amazing sport, and takes such a science to master. Thank goodness I am in the hands of a genius when it comes to physique competitions. Jason has been able to tweak my diets and workouts to keep my body guessing and changing weekly. Even when I mistakenly goofed up carb portions in my diet for a few weeks, he had a new diet to me within hours of my realization, and was able to undo any potential harm i could have done to my prep.
My teammates are awesome and inspiring. I was able to go to the WBFF show in august and watch Judy Doughty, Lise Thexton and TJ McBride compete and was completely blown away!! And it wasn't just our athletes that were amazing, the outpouring of support from the team was insane! There have been more competitions since, unfortunately none i have been able to attend, but even when teammates are unable to physically be at an event their support is always known via emails, texts, facebook comments, and it is awesome. It's what being a part of a team is all about.
It's off to bed for me, as tomorrow is another jam packed day, but I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Here we go again!!!!
Another season, another journey. Tomorrow will put me at 11 weeks from show, once i get the hang of posting pics i will post my weekly progress pics, starting with the ones that were taken last week at 12 weeks out. I have a new coach this year, the incredibly talented Jason Green, who does an amazing job at transforming his athletes each and every show. I am part of an awesome team, Team Green, with very dedicated, inspirational, supportive and amazing teammates. One of the best perks of being a part of this team, is that my coach Judy Doughty who has been with me for the past few seasons, is back on stage and also a teammate!!
Off season training has been going well, and J just gave me a new training program 2 weeks ago. Without altering my diet yet, the changes I have seen my body make in the last 2 weeks have been incredible. I have been working with him since the end of may, but this has by far been the most challenging and result producing program yet. Perhaps my body is responding so well because it's ready to be back at the grind, or maybe i am just noticing an accumulation of changes, but either way I am pleased.
Tonight I will be making 2 days worth of banana walnut pancakes, cooking my fish and chicken for tomorrow and organizing next weeks supplements. My new diet should be on it's way soon, and I am excited, and nervous, as sticking to the diets i have been given thus far has been easy. But now it's crunch time.
Next week I will be heading to the WBFF show to support Judy, and watch her bring home the hardware!! Another amazing athlete from the team Lise Thexton will also be competing on the Pro stage, and from what i have seen she is bringing one hell of a package! So excited to be there supporting these two amazing athletes!
Well I guess these eggs aren't going to magically turn themselves into pancakes, so i'm off to prep.
**Be exceptional in all that you do today. Leave mediocrity to someone else**
